Your Guide to a Weekend at Wisemans

Friday Afternoon: Hit the Road, Feel the Shift

Clock off work, jump in the car, and cruise out of the city. In just 60 minutes, you’ll roll into Wisemans Retreat and feel the stress slide off your shoulders.

Check into one of our spacious, comfy rooms (from just $159 a night!) and let the serenity sink in.

Drop your bags, take a deep breath of crisp country air, and head straight to the Wisemans Inn Hotel. With its sweeping views over the Hawkesbury escarpment, it’s the perfect spot to grab a drink, enjoy a hearty dinner, and ease into the weekend in true country style.

Saturday: A Day of Play, Nature & Local Flavour

Rise and shine! Start your morning with a fresh coffee and breakfast at the charming Heritage Valley Cafe. Enjoy a locally-sourced meal on the deck while overlooking the peaceful town. Did we mention there is a Lollie shop inside too!

It’s time to get active

Or just look the part! Our onsite tennis and beach volleyball courts are great for a little friendly competition, or for those who prefer a slower pace, try your hand at fishing at one of our scenic spots onsite.

Lace up your boots and explore the Great North Road Convict Trail.

It’s a stunning bushwalk packed with history, breathtaking views, and perfect photo ops. The Great North Road - World Heritage walk highlights a historic convict-built road with scenic river views, via Finchs Line, in Dharug National Park.

Prefer picking fruit to pounding trails?

Head over to Watkins Family Farm and handpick juicy mandarins fresh from the tree. It’s a fun, hands-on experience for all ages.
Plan your visit here.

Now time for some country cuteness

Don’t miss the brand new Maroota Miniature Farm. It’s adorable, interactive, and yes, there are goats. A family-friendly farm where you can visit miniature farm animals and see vegetables growing on a real farm. Cuddle some chicks, pat rabbits, and feed the mini cows. See the mini sheep, mini donkey, feed the ducks at the pond and best of all, play with Pygmy goats. For an additional cost, you can plant a veggie seed to take home to grow, ride a pony, and even collect real eggs.

Saturday Night: Eat, Drink & Unwind

After a full day of fun, it’s time to refuel. Head over to the Wisemans Inn or the local Bowling Club—both dishing up hearty meals, cold drinks, and a big dose of country hospitality. You’ll eat well and sleep even better.

Sunday: Slow Mornings & Sweet Goodbyes

Sleep in, or wake early to sneak in one last stroll along the river. Grab a final coffee and a fresh-cooked muffin or light breakfast from the Friendly Grocer.

If you aren't ready to head home just yet, why not head across the road for a game of lawn bowls, even 2 people can play! To book visit wisemans Ferry Bowling Club

If you're lucky on the way out of town, there may be some live music at the Wisemans Inn, pop in for a drink or even lunch before heading home

By the time you hit the road back to Sydney, you’ll feel like you’ve had a proper break. Because you have.
